Like most labs, Mira loved being in or on the water. It was like Driving Miss Daisy, with me doing all the work. She just lounged around like the queen of the lake.
She loved to drag her paws in the water like she’s Cleopatra. This was her last summer of kayaking before she passed in January of 2025.
The outdoors haven’t been the same without her. She was the kind of dog who was a constant companion. She went everywhere with me and I’m convinced at times she didn’t realize she was a dog.
Yes, she’ll be greatly missed….. but….. I have a new dog coming soon to have a few more outdoors adventures with. She is a yellow lab named Ryland, and while she will not be a replacement for Mira, I’m sure we will have similar adventures together.
